The Fairbanks Adult Amateur Baseball League (FAABL) is recruiting new players for the 2026 summer season, and tryouts are your entry point.
Whether you’re:
Fresh out of high school
A former college or Legion player
Or someone ready to get back into competitive baseball
This is your opportunity to join Alaska’s most competitive and community-driven men’s wood-bat league.
We recruit for all positions, and yes — pitchers and catchers are always in high demand. Bring the heat. Block the plate. Compete.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT TRYOUTS
Players will participate in a structured evaluation that includes:
Hitting
Fielding
Pitching (optional)
After tryouts, players are evaluated and assigned to teams based on:
Roster needs
Skill level
Positional fit
Team managers collaborate to ensure balanced, competitive rosters, and that every player has a meaningful role.
This is organized, intentional baseball — not random placement.
WHO CAN TRY OUT?
Men 18 years and older
All experience levels welcome
Must be able to commit to weekly Sunday games
Occasional midweek games may occur
This is not a casual rec league.
FAABL is competitive, organized, wood-bat baseball, played under MLB-style rules — with intensity, hustle, and respect for the game and each other.
